The Mixmastered Acoustics Skyline Diffuser is designed to diffuse sound energy in cases where a sound absorption panel would deaden a smaller space. Skyline sound diffusers diffuse or shatter sound in multiple directions. Typically used in professional recording studios on the rear wall behind the listening position.
See for yourself how much labor goes in to making skyline diffuser panels. Watch as he takes you step by step through the tedious sound diffuser build process and decide if you want to Do It Yourself or enjoy a professional made audio diffuser:

This product, although simple in design, would take quite a bit of labor and design, and the finished product would not be as well made as this one.
One of these worked wonders with opening up the room, balancing the tones, and allowing more natural resonances, but two was much better...almost coupled the results...
I ended up buying 3, the two on the bottom forming a base and the third on top, stacked evenly above as a pyramid.
I placed the 3 diffuser pyramid on a custom made 5 legged table, just wide enough to sit them, and placed the table behind my listening couch, in front of the large tapestry adsorbing carpet covering most of the rear wall.
They look very unusual and I read up on using a light cover material and that also softened the room acoustics and the imaging became one.
Never realized that the room acoustics need balance between absorption and diffusion...these guys at mixmaster acoustics know their art ....and soul ....highly recommend this product ..as you can see as I invested in three! 5 stars, good wood.
